We survived Christmas

It was touch and go there for a little bit but we survived. Kenna did as well as expected. It could have been a lot worse. Christmas eve night we went to my dads house for that side. It was loud and busy but fun. We stayed upstairs for most of the night since it was quiet. Kenna wasn't all that interested in opening presents. She did one and since it was a toy, she just wanted to play with it and nothing else. So I opened most of her presents. Thats pretty much what she did every time. We didn't get home until 9ish. She went straight to bed when we got home. Little girl was exhasuted.

Christmas morning was done at our apartment. We got up around 9:30. Kenna ate breakfast then we tried to get her to open some presents. She did alright. She opened about 2-3 and then she was done. We didn't get her a whole lot because well she doesn't need it and I knew she'd get stuff from everyone else. Here are some pics from our Christmas morning.

The wire for the beads on top light up. She likes it a lot.

This is her playing with toys she already has. :)
Ryan got her glow sticks. She enjoyed them very much.

She also loves her Leaptop. Its one of her favorites I think.
Our little load. She got a lot of great stuff though.

Christmas afternoon was spent at my moms. She cooked us breakfast and we hung out. Kenna opened about one of her presents and she was done. She got a light up drum that she just loves. She played with it the whole time we were there and she still loves to sit and play with it. And its not loud and obnoxious so I enjoy it. This is the only family pic that we got. Its nice luckily.

Then Christmas evening we went to Ryan's family. It was nice. Kenna took a little nap while we ate then she roamed around. She had some fussy moments. She did not want to open presents at all. I think she was just overwhelmed. She went through a lot in 2 days. Once we took her into a quiet room and let her play she was much happier.

Sunday we just relaxed a bit before taking Ryan back down to the train. We got to sleep in a little since we didn't get home until after 9 Saturday night.

Today I was ridiculously productive. Since we took almost everything out of the boxes as we got them and she didn't get a large amount of stuff, we didn't have a lot of garbage. I took out about 3 loads. I also did 3 loads of laundry plus have one left to do tomorrow. I went through my closet and took out a garbage bag of clothes to send to Goodwill to make room. I took down our little tree and put away decorations. Finally I swept and steam moped the kitchen floor with my new Shark steam mop. My next project is to tackle her closet and pack away smaller clothes and hang up all the new ones. Hopefully by the end of the week, our house will be back to normal.

Its almost Christmas!

6 days until Christmas? Really? This year has gone by super fast. This weekend Kenna went to my dads house for a night. We dropped her off at 12 on Saturday and went out to enjoy our "us" time. We went to the mall to have lunch at PF Changs. It was delicious. I wish I could eat there all the time. Then we did some shopping. We had to finish Kenna so we picked up some toys and some outfits. Then we came home to rest. We ate our leftovers for dinner, which were still amazing, and then set off wrap. She didn't have a whole lot so it didn't take long. I learned that Ryan is a very precise wrapper where I just do it to get it done. She won't notice so I don't need perfect corners. :) But then we wrapped all of the presents and by then it was like 11. I decided to go to bed to get as much sleep as I could. It was nice.

Today we just ran some errands then hung out at my dads with Kenna. They took her to see Santa. She did not like him very much. When I get the picture, I'll post it. Its so sad and adorable at the same time. I love it. She didn't nap today so as soon as we got home from dropping off Ryan, she went to bed. Hopefully she'll sleep peacefully for me. I can dream, right?

I ordered my new phone this week and I got it Friday. I'm in love. I got an HTC Incredible. Its amazing. I love everything about it. Ryan has phone jealousy but hes trying to find things he doesn't like about my phone to make him feel better. Silly boy. I'm just excited to have the internet on my phone again. I've missed it for almost 2 years. I got a few apps for Kenna and we tried one out today and she loved it. I'm hoping this helps when we go out in public but we'll see.

Ryan is coming home again Friday morning for Christmas. I can't wait. I love Christmas. I'm not looking forward to trying to find places for all the stuff Kenna will more than likely get but it'll be fun. I hope she enjoys it. I bought bright, metallicy type paper for her presents so she should at least enjoy that part.

Now I'm going to enjoy the rest of my quiet night and watch football. :)

Its been a week?

Wow. I can't believe its been a week. Kenna has decided not to sleep past 6am when I'm home with her. She'll sleep til 8 or 9 when hes home. I don't get it. Oh well.

We haven't really done much this past week. Ryan came home Saturday to give me a break. We just hung out at home. It snowed some on Sunday so we didn't go out but to drop him off at the train. Monday was the OK GO, Switchfoot and Cake concert. We missed OK GO but saw the rest. It was definitely an experience. I don't like Cake but Ryan enjoyed it. Thats all that matters. Yesterday Ryan took off work so he stayed home with Kenna while I ran some errands. It was nice to get out of the house alone. This morning a salvage yard came and got Ryan's car. We got $250 for it. I was surprised they offered that much. Its a nice little extra before Christmas.

Thats pretty much it. An exciting week for us. ;) The only thing I'd change about it is that I'd get more sleep during the week. Hopefully soon.

We had Kenna's doctors appointment today!

We had her 18th month appointment. She is still super tiny. She is now 19lbs 3oz and 29 inches long. She is under the 5th percentile for height and weight. Her height is following her own curve but her weight is starting to level out. I'm hoping once she starts eating real food with substance, she'll gain some weight. We'll see!

Kenna has a few interesting loveys that she likes to bring around the house with her. One is the plastic pouch that I've posted before. Yesterday was a soda bottle that she played with almost all day.

Then today she played with part of a CD case. She must have found it under our bed and decided to play with it.

She's so damn cute. Ryan took some pictures of us on Sunday before he left. They are cute.

And then one of her in a laundry basket for good measure.

Shes been sleeping better. The only bad thing is that she climbs up onto our entertainment center to look at the TV.  I can't watch TV during the day unless she is sleeping. She did let me watch a few episodes of Buffy last night. I think because its not bright and fun. I guess I'll have to watch depressing shows from now on. :)

Free beer and wine makes everyone have a good time!

Last Friday was Ryan's holiday party. It was fun. We hit a few snags in the traveling but overall it was fun. ** the only pic I have of me is from my cell phone. It sucks**
The Metra was running a little behind so I didn't get there until 5. Then we had to rush to his place to change and drop off my bag. We made a transfer from one train to another. The second one was experiencing technical difficulties so that put us 20ish more minutes behind. So we didn't leave his place until after 7 when the party started at 7. We got there around 8. It was jam packed full of people. Everyone I met was amazingly nice. I was honestly shocked that I liked everyone. It was cool. They pushed back the party an extra hour so we stayed until 11.

As soon as we started walking back to the train I realized I had to pee. I thought I could hold it. When we got off the first train and ready for the second, I decided I couldn't hold it. It hurt so bad. So here we are at 12:30am in downtown Chicago trying to find an open bathroom. Nothing was open. Even a 7-11 we found didn't have one. I was waddling around ridic slowly trying not to push on my bladder while Ryan ran ahead looking for a bathroom. We went down into the subway and luckily found a security guard that let me into one. Ahhh relief. Then we set off for another train station and found a 24 hr restaurant. So we stopped and ate. This was around 1:30. It was delicious. We finally got home and ready for bed around 2. We were suppose to get up at 6 and get on a train to Kenosha to pick up Kenna and take her to the holiday party for the center. Yeah that didn't happen.

We got up around 10 and looked outside to find a few inches of snow on the ground. Awesome. I only had high heels and a pair of flats. Off to Target we went to buy myself some boots. We walked to the bus stop that wasn't a bus stop anymore then decided to take a train. Meanwhile my feet were freezing and very wet. We finally get to Target after oh an hour or so with wet, cold feet. Stopped at the cafe to eat some lunch and change my shoes. I was much happier with my warm feet. Then we rush home to pick up Kenna and head home.

Sunday was suppose to be a lazy day. But Ryan's parents had to come get him at 10 to take him to pick up the bed we ordered and then back to his place. :( Instead of doing the errands I needed to do, I had to say goodbye to Ryan early. AND he won't be back til next Monday for a concert. I have to go over a week without seeing him and a break. Its going to be rough. I have some cute pictures of Kenna that I'm putting in a separate post. Stay tuned for some adorableness!

I suck at curling my hair

Everything is alright now. I had a rough few days but everything is okay now.

Anyway.

Ryan's holiday party is Friday night and I want curly/wavy hair. So last night I rolled it and pinned it and slept on it. Well when I woke up and took them out it was a hot mess. The left side turned out decent. The right side however was bad. The very top somehow got really frizzy and just crazy.

I went out and bought foam rollers and put them in now. I dampened my hair and rolled it. We'll see how it turns out. If they fail then I'll just use a curling iron. Hopefully that works. I'm not good at hair so this is stressful. If I had the money and time, I'd pay for someone to do it. Maybe next time. :)

Kenna was good today. She was semi cranky and kept climbing up the entertainment center. It snowed today and I tried to get some pictures. Here are my lame attempts. I need a better camera for real.
Kenna kept bothering me while I was taking these so I got a few of her.

We drove to Oconomowoc this evening as well. Some WI ladies adopted a family to get presents for and I got to buy for a 1 month old baby boy. It was fun. So we drove out there to drop off the presents. I can't wait til the family gets them. I wish I could be there to see them open it. Then we made a short Target trip to get some more supplies for my hair and came home. I tried putting her down at 7:30 but she wasn't ready I guess. I went in there at almost 8 and rocked her for a little bit. It was nice to cuddle. Hopefully she sleeps through til tomorrow. :)

Now I'm going to finish Hope Floats then do the dishes.

This weekend sucked

Thats all I got. I have no idea what to do. This sucks.

Being sick is no fun

Me and Kenna both are sick. Ryan came home this past weekend with a cold and lovingly shared it with us. :) Kenna has a runny nose and occasional cough. My throat hurts like mad and I'm getting a stuffy nose. Awesome. Monday night Kenna had a puking spell. I think with all the snot in her nose and coughing so hard made her puke. Luckily I was in her room quietly setting up her humidifier when I heard a very wet cough. I listen and she started crying so I picked her up to check her and her face was covered. While she was laying on me, she coughed and puked over my shoulder and all over the carpet. So in the bath tub we went. Mind you this was like 9:30pm. I stripped her down to her diaper and she sat in the tub and puked a few more times. Poor thing was so upset. She was crying the whole time and would cry harder after she puked. I couldn't do anything but pat her back and wipe her mouth until she was done. After she was done, I rinsed out the tub and gave her a quick bath. After her bath I put on Yo Gabba Gabba for her while I went and cleaned up her bedroom. Then after YGG, I gave her a small 4oz bottle of formula and put her back down. She woke up coughing a few times but no more puking. Horray!

Yesterday was a lazy day. We both felt like poo I think so we just laid around in our pjs and watched tv. She ate like normal so that's good. I put her down at 7ish and she was up at 9:30 crying so we snuggled. Then again at 11. Then she was out til 4:30 when she woke up crying again. I snuggled her a little and she went back to sleep. I didn't hear a peep out of her until after 9 this morning. Poor thing. I need to go to Target today to get a pack of bigger diapers for bed time. Hopefully that makes the middle of the night cries stop. We'll see.

Today Ryan comes home for the holiday! His boss was hinting that it would be a half day so fingers crossed! The only thing that sucks is that there is a 12:30 train and not another train til a little after 4. So if he isn't out of work by 12, he won't get home early. Sucky. I haven't heard from him yet but I'm really hoping he gets the 12:30 train. Knowing our luck though he won't. Tis how it works. But at least he'll be home sometime today. Yay!

The next 3 days are going to be super busy so I probably won't be able to update. We have 2 dinners tomorrow, 1 friday and 1 saturday. Man thats a lot of food. :)

Happy Thanksgiving everyone!

Never having fast food again

Not because its healthier. Not because I want to save money. Because of the terrible things it does to my insides. Never again. Except healthyish type food like Subway or something.

Anyway, its been relatively calm over here. Kenna has been waking up still once at night for a diaper change. I don't get it. Maybe I'll try to keep it warmer in there and see if that helps. She had class yesterday. All her therapists said she did great. We did not have her meeting because not everyone could make it so we pushed it back 2 weeks. Hopefully that works. We'll see.

Tonight is Harry Potter night!! As soon as Kenna wakes up from her nap, we're going down to my moms to drop her off. Then I'll go pick up Ryan and come back up here since the movie theater is just down the street. We're going to eat at Applebees before. I'm so excited. The tickets are printed off and in my purse. Hopefully she has a good time at grandma's. Crazy overly protective grandma. :)

Oh crap I hear noises. Apparently we're only taking 1.5 hour nap today. Sucky. I leave you with pictures from our small picture party and a video.

This is a video of her watching the commercial for that dancing mickey toy. Its hilarious apparently. I had to get her to stop pushing the space bar because she kept pausing it. Silly girl.

It was a great day...

The past 2 days have been pretty good. We've just been hanging out at home. Tomorrow we'll have to venture out and go to Target for some stuff.  Hopefully it goes as well as the last 2 trips.

She has been getting up the past 2 nights and I don't know why. Its usually around 3am. The night before last we were up for over an hour and I finally gave in and fed her. I'm not sure if thats what she wanted. I tried rocking her and every time I'd lay her down, 10 minutes later she was crying. I changed her diaper, fed her and she went right back to sleep. Last night she got up again at around 3am. I rocked her for 40 minutes and laid her down. She was up 10 minutes later. I changed her and rocked her some more and when I laid her down, she was out. I'm not sure if she was bothered by the diaper or if she just knew to go back to sleep after her diaper change. I put a different type of diaper on her tonight so we'll see. Plus she ate a lot more today so I know she shouldn't be hungry. The plus side of her getting up is that she has been sleeping later. I got to sleep in til 9:30 both mornings. Also, she has went straight down for her naps the past 2 days. Maybe its a growth spurt. Or she's learning to go right to sleep. I'm not complaining either way. :)

Ryan also might have found an apartment. He decided to search for a roommate instead of just a studio. Same price but more likely in a better neighborhood and you split the bills. So hopefully he'll be into a place he found last night this weekend. Or sometime next week at the latest. We shall see. He's looking at it tomorrow night. We're both excited.

Since I've had 2 long nights, I'm going to try and hit the hay early. I'm hoping for a solid night sleep. I know we both need it.

New Blog design!!!

My awesome blog now looks awesome. :) Thanks to my friend at Jumping Jax Designs. I'm so happy with it! She is amazing. She does all sorts of products to check her out.
http://www.jumpingjaxdesigns.com/

So Kenna is almost 100% hive free. She has a few here and there but for the most part, shes fine. She is also all done with her medicine, so hopefully no more ear infections for a while.

Friday night we got to pick up daddy and hang out. She wasn't awake long since he didn't get in until 7:10. Saturday we met my dad and step-mom at one of my favorite places in Kenosha. They were taking Kenna for the night. We had lunch and Kenna was pretty well behaved. She didn't do a lot of screaming which is good. Hopefully this means I can start taking her out more. We'll see. Then after they took her, we went shopping. I tried on a pair of boots from Old Navy but they didn't fit over my man calves. :( Then on our way home we stopped at the liquor store and got some goodies. After that, I picked up my chinese food and Ryan got Jimmy Johns.  I branched out and tried chicken with garlic sauce. It was delicious. Then we just watched our dvr'd shows and drank. It was fun.

Today was a now typical Sunday. We ate breakfast and Ryan packed. Then we drove down to my dads and hung out. My step-mom cooked us spaghetti and we watched football. GO BEARS! ;) Then I dropped Ryan off, picked Kenna back up and home we came. I cleaned up a little bit, got her in her jammies and we watched some tv. Then I put her to bed at 8.

I'm really really hoping this week is better than the last 2. It can't get too much worse. Knock on wood. Thursday I have a meeting with all her teachers to discuss her therapies and our goals. Hopefully we make it. She hasn't been to school in 2 weeks. Also, tomorrow I'm going to start the 30 day shred. I hope I don't die the first day. :) But since I start it tomorrow, I'm going to go have a soda and a snack.

Sick, cranky baby

Today probably sucked more than yesterday. Heres why:

Kenna woke up at 4:30 crying. I changed her, gave her benadryl and motrin and a bottle.
I couldn't get back to sleep until 6-6:30. She was up at 7:30
She is still covered with hives, if not more and super cranky
She threw my glasses on the floor and when I got up to tend to her, I stepped on them. They broke. :(
She cried through every meal I tried to feed her. She ate 1/3 of what she usually does.
She would randomly just start crying. I have no idea why.

This is what I'm dealing with.

I'm exhausted. I need sleep. She just woke up crying and went back to sleep. This is the second time in 1.5 hours. Doesn't look good. I pray tomorrow goes easier. At least I get to escape for a little bit and go to the doctor. I'll take any break, even if it includes a pelvic exam. :)

Terrible day

Kenna woke up covered in hives all over her body. They didn't seem to be itchy or anything but they were everywhere. I called the doctor right away. They scheduled us to come in this afternoon. She ate breakfast and lunch fine and wasn't overly crabby. She seemed a little warm but nothing unusual.

We went to the doctor at 2. She thinks she is allergic to amoxicillin. Awesome. So the doctor prescribes azythromyacin. It smells terrible and apparently doesn't taste better. We still haven't gotten the health insurance cards from Ryan's new job, so when they ran the cards Kenna's primary came back expired so her state wouldn't cover it. So I had to pay full price. It sucked. Now we'll be overdrawn once rent goes through unless they don't cash it until after Monday. They never wait that long so we'll see. I gave her motrin, which she took very well. The benadry on the other hand, did not go well. I think half got in. Then I put her new medicine in her night time bottle. That was a huge fail. She took a few drinks and refused the rest. So we wasted a teaspoon. I'll need to figure out a new way tomorrow. Amox was so much easier to give. I hope she outgrows the allergy or that it was a fluke.

The past week has just been awful. I'm scared to go to the doctor Thursday. I can't take anymore bad news or stress. Being home was suppose to make things easier. Tomorrow has to be a better day.

Oh here is a video of Kenna walking around.

Home sweet home

I dropped Ryan off again last night. It went well. I had to drive to Waukegan though. The weekend was so much easier with him there to help. Apparently the dog isn't suppose to smell that bad so hopefully they figure out what he got into. We went into the hot tub on Saturday night. It was amazing. I decided that we need one when we get a house. I want it to be the first thing we buy. Screw fixing up the place. I want a hot tub. :) It felt great. I should have been in there every night. My stress levels may have been significantly lower. Oh well.

Yesterday we spent the day at my dads. It was fun. Kenna was walking around all over the place. It was so cute. She likes to walk in one direction then turn around and walk back the way she came. Shes getting so much better. I'll bet in the next month or 2, she'll be officially walking everywhere. Now if only she'll start eating. She wasn't phased by the DST. She went to bed at her normal 7pm time. She got up an hour earlier Sunday morning but thats it. She got cranky around 5:50, ate a bottle at my dads then took another 4oz when we got home and passed out. She got up at her 8ish time like normal. I love that she is pretty easily adaptable.

Today was a regular day at home. We got up and ate then ran to Target and the post office. She did amazing in both. Shes getting easier to take places now. Soon we'll have to tackle the eating out problems. Then we just hung out at home and played, watched tv, walked around. It was nice. If every day was this easy, it'll make the single momness so much more fun.

Now I have dishes to do and a litter box to clean. A mother's work is never done. :)

Ryans home!

The past few days have been hell. I'm so glad Ryan is home. We spent Friday at my moms house so she wasn't walking around crying. It went well. Ryan was suppose to be arriving into Kenosha at 6:30. Apparently someone jumped in front of a train Friday afternoon so everything was delayed. Thats just the topping on my week from hell. Only something like that would happen the same day he was suppose to be coming home. I just can't imagine ending things that way. Its just terrible. Well Kenna passed out at my moms house so I sat there until Ryan's train finally arrived. It was an hour and a half late so it wasn't too terrible. We got back to the ILs after 9 and put Kenna straight to bed. She slept soundly til 8. It was heaven.

Today was easy. I slept in and Ryan took care of Kenna. Josh was here so he played with Kenna too. We went to our apartment for a little while today to check on our cat. She was fine. I was so happy to be home. Kenna napped while we were there and we both got a shower. It was nice. I'm so excited to go back tomorrow. I missed my house. Next week is going to be 1000% easier for us.

Tomorrow we drop off Ryan again. :( We're going down to my dads house for a bit then I'll have to drive him down to Waukegan. Boooo. But at least our week should go well. And I'll see him Friday night at 6:30 unless someone else throws themself at a train. So its only 4 days.  Not too terrible I guess.

Now I'm off to finish watching UP and maybe have some cookie dough ice cream.

No Nick Jr? Craaaap.

Today was our first day at the in-laws for house/dog sitting. Turns out they don't get any child related channels except Nick which stops showing toddler related things at 1pm. Great. And she just can't sit and play with toys. So while I was trying to eat dinner, she was circling my chair whining and crying. It was ridiculous. She finally started playing with one of her toys so I ran back to finish eating. She also doesn't know the layout well so she keeps getting lost. She keeps wandering into the kitchen and then yelling and whining. I keep bringing her into the living room with me and her toys but she continues to go into the kitchen. I don't get it.

Last night went amazingly better than the past 2. I turned her heater on around 10pm and went to check on her at 12. I made too much racket and she woke up and started jumping. But I kissed her and laid her down and she went back to sleep. I turned off the heater at 12:30 and she slept until almost 9. So she slept 14 hours. It was heaven. I hope tonight goes well. I don't know how cold it gets here but I really hope it goes well. She needs her sleep.

Now I'm sitting here in the big empty house listening to the dog snore. Its weird. This is what my life will be like when we get a house. Its different. I could get use to it. :)

#2 ear infection

Today we found out Kenna has another ear infection. This time its her left ear. This is her second one in 2 months so hopefully it doesn't keep up. I got frequent ear infections when I was younger so I hope she doesn't follow in my footsteps.

She got up again this morning at 3am. This time I just rocked her for a little while and then laid her down and covered her up. She went right back to sleep. I put the small heater we have in there and I'm going to turn it on low when I go to sleep. Hopefully it keeps her warm enough to sleep through the night.  We shall see.

So when we went to the doctor, she got a hold of her plastic ring bag from the car and she would not let go. She carried it into the doctors office and played with it all during the visit. She would not let go of it. I had to get her to at least switch hands to get her sweater off and on and in and out of the car seat. It was cute. She carried it all through Target as we were getting her medicine and carried it from the car back into the house. I don't get the fascination but it works. Here she is with it watching some Yo Gabba Gabba.
I realized that I post a lot of pics of her in front of the tv. She really doesn't watch that much tv. Thats just the only place I can get pics of her that aren't blurry.

So that was our day. Despite being sick, she was very good. We walked around Target for 30 minutes and she didn't cry once. She just chewed on her bag and on her new stuffed Halloween plush that was on clearance. It was really the best Target trip we've had in a long time. Tomorrow we go up to the ILs to house/dog sit. It should be interesting. I already got all her clothes set aside. I just need to pack it with mine. I'll probably do that later tonight. I also was told that Ryan is coming home Friday night instead of Saturday. He misses us too much to go another night. :) Silly boy. I hope Kenna gets excited to see him. We'll find out in a few days.

We survived day 1!

We survived our first entire day all to ourselves. Last night was a bit rough. She woke up crying at 3am and I went in and rocked her a little and I thought she was asleep so I laid her down and closed the door but stayed in the room just in case she got up right away. Well I left the hallway light on so I couldn't leave without making it obvious so I laid down on her floor hoping she'd fall asleep soon so I could sneak out. 40 minutes later she started crying and I just gave in and gave her a bottle and she went back to sleep. So I got back to sleep a little after 4am and then she woke up at 7. I stayed in bed and drifted in and out of sleep until she started really fussing at 8:10.
The rest of the day was good. She ate breakfast and then we went out to deposit Ryan's last check from his old job. I managed to get a pair of shoes on her and she got them and her socks of within minutes of being in the car. Silly girl. After the bank we stopped at Target for some things. It went surprisingly well. When she got fussy, I gave her a sippy of milk and she was fine. We walked around for a few minutes. I got her some clearance pjs and a cute top and pants all for like $12. We looked at the costumes that were 50% off but I couldn't find one I really liked. I did however pick up a bag of 3 Muskateers that was 30% off. We got home and both ate lunch and then she had her nap time bottle around 1 and I put her down. It took her almost an hour to fall asleep and then she was up an hour later. So she got an hour nap. She wasn't too crabby the rest of the day. She did come over to where I was sitting on the floor in front of the computer, move my arm and crawl into my lap and didn't move. I think she was still tired but didn't want to sleep. It was nice to cuddle. I couldn't reach my camera at the time so no pics. :( I do have some of her watching tv and some from after dinner.

Then came bath time. I don't know why she doesn't do well for me. I watched Ryan the other day and I did everything the same. I don't get why she doesn't want to listen to me. She always wants to stand and clear off our shelf of shampoo, conditioner and soap and then try to chew on the bottles. It doesn't matter how many toys I put in there, she won't play with them. Maybe she needs more brightly colored toys. I'll have to look into it. I did however get some cute bath pics. I haven't taken any since she was teeny. I dedicate the bath pics to my friend Rae.

I also took a video of her dancing. She gets so excited for some songs. I just laugh at her. She loves it. Hopefully tonight goes better than last night. I don't know why she got up but I hope it was a fluke. I think she gets cold. Even with the plastic on her window, it was chilly in there this morning. I'll have to set up our little heater in there before bed to try and warm it up. Anyhow, I leave you with this video. Candy and football are calling my name. :)

Today was the day

Today Ryan left for Chicago. It was a pretty chill weekend. Yesterday we spent the day with the inlaws then came home to relax. I dyed my hair back all the way brown for the interview Thursday. It still had a pinkish tint but Ryan swears it looks auburn. I'm too lazy and cheap to try again so it stays.
It will do. I do miss the pink though. Maybe if I don't get either job, I'll redo it.

Today Ryan packed and did somethings for me around the house before he left. We got Kenna's window plastic covered so maybe she'll sleep in later so she won't be so cold. A mom can dream right? He did some other small household chores. I dropped him off at the train station at 6:20ish. His train left at 6:50. I didn't cry and I don't think he did. At least I didn't see it. I probably won't see him until Saturday morning. Its cheaper for him to come home Saturdays so thats what we'll do. Its going to be a rough week. Wednesday me and Kenna get to go to the inlaws to house sit until Sunday. So my first week alone, I get to watch Kenna and their dog all by myself. It should be fun or at least it'll keep me busy.

Week one started, 42 more to go.

Trick or Treating with the Center for the Blind!

Today we just stayed at home and did nothing. It was a good day but uneventful. The only thing that happened today was that my old teacher and a RN supervisor at a hospital called and we set up an interview. I'm pretty excited. I know that I don't NEED this job, but the extra money will definitely come in handy. Hopefully I can get one and we can pay off the debt faster and get a house sooner. :)

Anyways, yesterday Kenna had trick or treating with the center. All the kids were adorable. Kenna was a little lady bug. She did pretty well the first half and then had a breakdown in the middle. We took a break and fed her a bottle and she was perfect. She got a lot of candy that we (mostly I ) will be eating. She also got 3 toothbrushes so we should be set for a while. Here are some of the better ones we got.

Here she is playing with her plastic bag from her costume:
 Admiring her pretty dress:
Getting into trouble:
Chewing on her wings. It was the only thing that made her happy at the end:
And her just being adorable:

She tolerated her costume surprisingly well. I was happy with how it all turned out. Ryan also came with us so he would get to see her. I'm glad he spent half the day with us. I'm sure he enjoyed it since he leaves on Sunday.

All in all it was a good experience. We had a great day. ;)
