Being sick is no fun

Me and Kenna both are sick. Ryan came home this past weekend with a cold and lovingly shared it with us. :) Kenna has a runny nose and occasional cough. My throat hurts like mad and I'm getting a stuffy nose. Awesome. Monday night Kenna had a puking spell. I think with all the snot in her nose and coughing so hard made her puke. Luckily I was in her room quietly setting up her humidifier when I heard a very wet cough. I listen and she started crying so I picked her up to check her and her face was covered. While she was laying on me, she coughed and puked over my shoulder and all over the carpet. So in the bath tub we went. Mind you this was like 9:30pm. I stripped her down to her diaper and she sat in the tub and puked a few more times. Poor thing was so upset. She was crying the whole time and would cry harder after she puked. I couldn't do anything but pat her back and wipe her mouth until she was done. After she was done, I rinsed out the tub and gave her a quick bath. After her bath I put on Yo Gabba Gabba for her while I went and cleaned up her bedroom. Then after YGG, I gave her a small 4oz bottle of formula and put her back down. She woke up coughing a few times but no more puking. Horray!

Yesterday was a lazy day. We both felt like poo I think so we just laid around in our pjs and watched tv. She ate like normal so that's good. I put her down at 7ish and she was up at 9:30 crying so we snuggled. Then again at 11. Then she was out til 4:30 when she woke up crying again. I snuggled her a little and she went back to sleep. I didn't hear a peep out of her until after 9 this morning. Poor thing. I need to go to Target today to get a pack of bigger diapers for bed time. Hopefully that makes the middle of the night cries stop. We'll see.

Today Ryan comes home for the holiday! His boss was hinting that it would be a half day so fingers crossed! The only thing that sucks is that there is a 12:30 train and not another train til a little after 4. So if he isn't out of work by 12, he won't get home early. Sucky. I haven't heard from him yet but I'm really hoping he gets the 12:30 train. Knowing our luck though he won't. Tis how it works. But at least he'll be home sometime today. Yay!

The next 3 days are going to be super busy so I probably won't be able to update. We have 2 dinners tomorrow, 1 friday and 1 saturday. Man thats a lot of food. :)
