We survived our first entire day all to ourselves. Last night was a bit rough. She woke up crying at 3am and I went in and rocked her a little and I thought she was asleep so I laid her down and closed the door but stayed in the room just in case she got up right away. Well I left the hallway light on so I couldn't leave without making it obvious so I laid down on her floor hoping she'd fall asleep soon so I could sneak out. 40 minutes later she started crying and I just gave in and gave her a bottle and she went back to sleep. So I got back to sleep a little after 4am and then she woke up at 7. I stayed in bed and drifted in and out of sleep until she started really fussing at 8:10.
The rest of the day was good. She ate breakfast and then we went out to deposit Ryan's last check from his old job. I managed to get a pair of shoes on her and she got them and her socks of within minutes of being in the car. Silly girl. After the bank we stopped at Target for some things. It went surprisingly well. When she got fussy, I gave her a sippy of milk and she was fine. We walked around for a few minutes. I got her some clearance pjs and a cute top and pants all for like $12. We looked at the costumes that were 50% off but I couldn't find one I really liked. I did however pick up a bag of 3 Muskateers that was 30% off. We got home and both ate lunch and then she had her nap time bottle around 1 and I put her down. It took her almost an hour to fall asleep and then she was up an hour later. So she got an hour nap. She wasn't too crabby the rest of the day. She did come over to where I was sitting on the floor in front of the computer, move my arm and crawl into my lap and didn't move. I think she was still tired but didn't want to sleep. It was nice to cuddle. I couldn't reach my camera at the time so no pics. :( I do have some of her watching tv and some from after dinner.
Then came bath time. I don't know why she doesn't do well for me. I watched Ryan the other day and I did everything the same. I don't get why she doesn't want to listen to me. She always wants to stand and clear off our shelf of shampoo, conditioner and soap and then try to chew on the bottles. It doesn't matter how many toys I put in there, she won't play with them. Maybe she needs more brightly colored toys. I'll have to look into it. I did however get some cute bath pics. I haven't taken any since she was teeny. I dedicate the bath pics to my friend Rae.
I also took a video of her dancing. She gets so excited for some songs. I just laugh at her. She loves it. Hopefully tonight goes better than last night. I don't know why she got up but I hope it was a fluke. I think she gets cold. Even with the plastic on her window, it was chilly in there this morning. I'll have to set up our little heater in there before bed to try and warm it up. Anyhow, I leave you with this video. Candy and football are calling my name. :)
