Last Friday was Ryan's holiday party. It was fun. We hit a few snags in the traveling but overall it was fun. ** the only pic I have of me is from my cell phone. It sucks**
The Metra was running a little behind so I didn't get there until 5. Then we had to rush to his place to change and drop off my bag. We made a transfer from one train to another. The second one was experiencing technical difficulties so that put us 20ish more minutes behind. So we didn't leave his place until after 7 when the party started at 7. We got there around 8. It was jam packed full of people. Everyone I met was amazingly nice. I was honestly shocked that I liked everyone. It was cool. They pushed back the party an extra hour so we stayed until 11.
As soon as we started walking back to the train I realized I had to pee. I thought I could hold it. When we got off the first train and ready for the second, I decided I couldn't hold it. It hurt so bad. So here we are at 12:30am in downtown Chicago trying to find an open bathroom. Nothing was open. Even a 7-11 we found didn't have one. I was waddling around ridic slowly trying not to push on my bladder while Ryan ran ahead looking for a bathroom. We went down into the subway and luckily found a security guard that let me into one. Ahhh relief. Then we set off for another train station and found a 24 hr restaurant. So we stopped and ate. This was around 1:30. It was delicious. We finally got home and ready for bed around 2. We were suppose to get up at 6 and get on a train to Kenosha to pick up Kenna and take her to the holiday party for the center. Yeah that didn't happen.
We got up around 10 and looked outside to find a few inches of snow on the ground. Awesome. I only had high heels and a pair of flats. Off to Target we went to buy myself some boots. We walked to the bus stop that wasn't a bus stop anymore then decided to take a train. Meanwhile my feet were freezing and very wet. We finally get to Target after oh an hour or so with wet, cold feet. Stopped at the cafe to eat some lunch and change my shoes. I was much happier with my warm feet. Then we rush home to pick up Kenna and head home.
Sunday was suppose to be a lazy day. But Ryan's parents had to come get him at 10 to take him to pick up the bed we ordered and then back to his place. :( Instead of doing the errands I needed to do, I had to say goodbye to Ryan early. AND he won't be back til next Monday for a concert. I have to go over a week without seeing him and a break. Its going to be rough. I have some cute pictures of Kenna that I'm putting in a separate post. Stay tuned for some adorableness!
